The space is coming together beautifully. I think the slow approach is the perfect way to go about creating a space as you get a chance to sit with your changes and develop your ideas in the process. It really helps you to put your personality and preferences into the project. Your paint colour experience is a good reminder to use photos as inspiration not to make a perfect copy. Look forward to seeing the completed room in the future.
Thanks, Rach! And you're so right! When I started thinking about the project back in February, I was eager to get started and just order stuff, but as I've had more time to think about it and to find the perfect items, I'm enjoying the process so much more. While it'll taking me a while to source/make everything, there's beauty in the slowness of it.
Wow, I love your new cosy, 'hygge'-like space - perfect for long winter evenings, Gilian :) also, I'm curious - have you at any point used AI to to convert your 'old' room according to your moodboard?
Yes, I hope that I have everything sourced for it by the time the winter rolls around so I can spend all of my evenings in there with a good book! I haven't used AI to help with the design - I like the slowness of finding the perfect items that suit the space and feel like us. It'll take longer but I think it's more fun this way π
Ooh, I love your snug! We painted our library this deep green and itβs a nice cozy colour. May the thrifting gawds smile upon you and send the perfect loveseat your way. I love the refinishing of the table, and itβs cat-approved!π
Yes, the deep green is such a cozy color - I imagine many nights curled up with a good book in there! And thank you - I hope they do too. Still waiting, but it makes me practice patience which is never a bad thing π
Iβm so glad youβre enjoying it, Louise! Itβs taking longer than I originally expected, partially procrastination, partially kids being off for the summer, but mostly me just trying to find the right pieces, which will be worth it all in the end!

Oh, what a great room! I love seeing it coming together, and learning about your thought process!

It will! Especially knowing that youβve chosen each piece so carefully.
So beautiful, classic, and cozy.
I canβt wait to spend many evenings reading on the elusive loveseat in here!
so clever you are!! I love the colors and concept!
Thanks, Mary! I love how it's slowly all coming together.
Looks so good!
Thanks Rebecca! Iβm really excited about how itβs coming along π
